Education Time for 1st - 12th Grade

Sundays after Time With the Young at Heart Message  (10:15 a.m.)

A Pre-K 1 Class

Ages 3-6 years

Sundays after Time With the Young at Heart Message (10:15 a.m.)

Our youth program is active in many ways. Youth can participate in choir, worship, Sunday School, plays, and so much more!

During worship, there is a special message just for children, of all ages, called "Time With The Young At Heart." It is usally connected with the scripture, mission projects or events that are occuring in the world. Hopefully, what they learn can be applied to their daily life so that they will become enriched young adults.

Educational time is provided after the message and these lessons correlate with what is being taught in church. Our goal for our youth is to relate Bible stories to their life and perform what God is calling them to do.

First Sunday of the month:  On the first Sunday of each month, the youth greet and usher.  After Time With the Young at Heart, preschoolers go to class.  The younger youth (1st - 5th) go to class for a short lesson, do a craft and come back to worship to help serve the Offering.  The older youth (6th - 12th) stay in church for the entire service.

Youth Events:  Retreats/outings, get-togethers, lock-ins, movie nights, Saline Scarecrow Contest, Saline Christmas Parade, CROP Walk, Christmas Caroling, Halloween & Christmas Parties, and so much more!

Youth are encouraged to bring friends to church and to youth events!

*If you'd like to be a part of these programs, please let Reverends Pam & Keith know you're interested! Thank you for your time and support of the youth*

Open and Affirming

Starting a committee on becoming Open and Affirming.  We will study what the Bible is saying or not saying and what the medical field is saying.  Why we feel we need to tell people how they should live?  Is it a disease or are people born to be attracted to the same sex?  Can they change or do they need to change? Please be open minded.

Educational Hour

Every Sunday, the young people are invited to join the ministers up front for "Time with the Young at Heart".  The message ties in with the lectionary of the day. Sometimes there is a skit or action song and other times a story is told using multimedia. The first Sunday of each month, older youth stay in worship, and younger children attend Sunday School. On other Sundays during the school year, all youth attend Christian Education.  Parents are to pick up childern after worship.

Come join the fun in the St. Paul UCC Nursery!  Babies as well as children through age 3 are welcome!
